On March 18, 2025, the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore hosted an intellectual contest among students entitled “National Traditions — Heritage of Generations”, in honor of the Day of Culture and National Traditions. The main goal of the event was to explain the educational significance of Kazakh customs and traditions, to revive and promote national values, and to foster a sense of national identity among young people.

        Students and teachers from the K. Dutbayeva Atyrau Humanitarian College took part in the competition. The participants were divided into two teams — “Shanyrak” and “Nauryz” — and competed in three stages: I stage — “Forgotten Traditions of the Kazakh People”; II stage — “Questions Based on Illustrations”; III stage — “Complete the Proverb Related to a Tradition.” The students showed enthusiasm and strong knowledge of folk customs, shared their views on rare traditions, and demonstrated ingenuity during the creative tasks. At the end of the contest, participants shared their impressions, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting national values, and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event.
